Jessica Dalesena Gossett

SHELBY: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jessica Dalesena Gossett, who departed this life on May 22, 2025, at the age of 44, after a courageous year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jessica was born on December 7, 1980, and from the very beginning, her life was filled with energy and love. Known for her vibrant personality, she touched the lives of many with her humor, sass, and unwavering determination. Her zest for life was evident in everything she did, from her love of TikTok to her role as a devoted caregiver.

A woman of great compassion, Jessica was deeply dedicated to her family. She was a loving and caring mother to her four children: Quinton, Zayn, Jaila, and Zayden, and found immense joy in her granddaughter, Payton. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Jessica's spirit was infectious, her laughter was contagious, and her love was unconditional. Though she could be hardheaded, it was her fierce loyalty and hardworking nature that endeared her to those around her. She was not only a devoted mother and grandmother but also a beloved daughter, sister, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Jasmin Peyton Gossett, and her brother, Jeff Hamrick. Her legacy continues through her surviving family: her mother, Jessie Ann Gossett, and father, John Cleveland Gossett Jr.; her children, Quinton, Zayn, Jaila, and Zayden; her beloved granddaughter, Payton; her sisters, Kimberly Lockridge and Sherry Miller; and her brothers, Jaime and Mark Gossett. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at 1:30 PM, followed by a memorial service in her honor at 2:00 PM. Jessica's spirit and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
