Jeff Oaks

SHELBY: Jeffrey Wayne Oaks Sr., 58, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, he is the son of Virgil Oaks and wife Dianna of Shelby, and the late Patricia Porter. Jeff was a truck driver for many years, and a loving father. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myla Oaks; and brother, Buster Oaks. In addition to his father and his wife, he is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Oaks and Aaden Oaks of Shelby; sisters, Kristy Owen and husband Reid of Shelby and Dana Pressley and husband Matthew of Kings Mountain; brothers, Brad Oaks and wife Amber of Shelby and Joe Oaks and wife Tina of Forest City; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00PM, Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Costner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. A private burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Westwood Heights Baptist Church.
