SHELBY – Mrs. Jeanette Watkins Jones, 74, of 2466 Old Gaffney Rd., passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, Sun. Jan. 20, 2013. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Hester Mauney Watkins. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Shelby, and retired from Doran Mill after 35 years of service. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Hub Jones; sister, Margaret Champion; and brother, Jerry Watkins.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her two sons, Harry Jones, Richard Jones and wife Anitra, all of Shelby; two daughters, Kathy Herron and husband Donnie, and Terri McCraw and husband Ronald, all of Shelby; two brothers, Tommy and Ted Watkins, both of Shelby; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: Wednesday, 1pm, at First Wesleyan Church of Shelby

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-7:30pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at her home.

CLERGY: Revs. Eddie Gray and Glenn Ward

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park

MEMORIALS: Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150
