Jean Mckinney

SHELBY: Jean A. McKinney, 64, died Monday, June 5, 2023 at Hospice at Wendover. Born in Gaston County, she is the daughter of Phyllis McKinney of Shelby and the late Ralph McKinney Jr. Jean retired as a RN from Cleveland Regional Medical Center after almost 30 years of service. She had a great love for her nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Ralph McKinney III and wife Denise of Shelby; sister, Joyce Bingham and husband David of Marion; nieces, Molly McKinney Huss and husband Eric, Nicole Higginbotham and husband Phillip, Shannon Bingham and fiancé Scott; and nephews, Michael Bingham and wife Yulia and Nicholas Bingham. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 9, 2023 at Elizabeth Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Rit Varriale officiating.
