J.C. Rabb

SHELBY- Mr. J.C. Rabb, 90, of 1216 Patterson St., died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was a son of the late William “Bud” and Bessie Granger Rabb. He worked at the Shelby Mill and retired from the Dover Mill. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Shelby.

PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Bernice Meachem Rabb and a granddaughter, Stephanie Dianne Rabb, four brothers, and five sisters.

SURVIVORS: He is survived by his son, Michael Steve Rabb Sr. and wife, Judy, two grandsons, Mike Rabb and wife, Bettie of Apex and Chris Rabb and wife, Julie of Lattimore, and six great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2009 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his son, 1702 Cedar Creek Rd., Shelby.

FUNERAL: The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2009 at Clay-Barnette Chapel.

BURIAL: Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
