KINGS MOUNTAIN: Gregory Allen Eledge, affectionately known as Greg, passed away on August 13, 2025, in Kings Mountain, NC, at the age of 75. Born on October 29, 1949, in Compton, CA, Greg lived a life marked by his devotion to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who transformed him as a young man at 23 years of age. He dedicated the following 52 years of his life in service to his God.

A true renaissance man, Greg formed, operated, and sold multiple businesses throughout his lifetime. He was a jack of all trades, mastering everything from welding to HVAC. Greg's endless curiosity and dedication were evident in every endeavor he undertook, and he inspired those around him to pursue their passions with similar fervor.

Beyond his professional achievements, Greg lived a zealous life full of adventure. He loved riding his motorcycle through the open roads, exploring nature while hunting, and curating an impressive collection of knives and guns. His deep connection to his Native American heritage was a source of pride and inspiration, and he shared this passion with family and friends.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Riley Cowen Eledge and Maxine Nichols Eledge; and his sisters, JoAnn Eledge and Marylee Eledge. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Jackie Eledge, who was his steadfast partner throughout their remarkable journey together.

He leaves behind a loving family who admired and cherished him: his daughter, Bridget Goodwin and husband Jonathan; his son, Grant Eledge and wife June; brothers, Howard Eledge and wife Betty; Dave Eledge and Christine; sister, Donna Alvarez;. Greg was a proud grandfather to Mikal Eledge, Vashti Eledge, Samuel Goodwin, and Josiah Goodwin, and a great-grandfather to Aislin Beach, Delaney Beach, Ronin Rhoten, and Atlas Eledge.

A funeral service to honor Greg's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Kings Mountain. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to the service to share memories and celebrate a life well-lived. Following the service, Greg will be laid to rest at Mountain Rest Cemetery.

As we say farewell to Greg, let us always remember his adventurous spirit, his commitment to lifelong learning, and his unwavering faith and hope and everlasting life in Jesus Christ. His legacy will continue to inspire us all.
