Gary Blanton

GROVER: Gary Richard Blanton, 59, died Thursday, December 29, 2022 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Toy and Elizabeth Rippy Blanton. Gary had a love for cars, grilling, dirt track racing and NASCAR. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Jada Blanton Holland and husband Chris of Forest City; his only sister, Sandy Blanton Washburn of Grover; and his K-9 companion, Harley. A memorial service will be held 3:00pm, Monday, January 2, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
