SHELBY- Arthur Fred Lynch, 88, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Carolinas Heathcare-Cleveland. A native of Mecklenburg Co., he was the son of the late Charles Bryan and Carrie Lee Lynch. He served in the Army during WWII. Fred retired as a supervisor with PPG, after 30 years of service.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carlton Bryan Lynch and James Earl Lynch; and sister, Dorothy Caldwell.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elaine Reynolds Lynch; son, Michael Fred Lynch and wife Barbara Ann of Shelby sister, Irene McSwain and husband Paul of Cherryville; step-grandsons, Paul Edward Durst and wife Catherine of Alston, Mass., and Zachary Wayne Durst of Asheville.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Tuesday, 2pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home
BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park with Military Honors
MEMORIALS: To the donor’s choice
FUNERAL HOME: Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby
