KINGS MOUNTAIN- Fred William Kiser, born on June 27, 1935, in Cleveland County, NC, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, at the age of 90, just a short distance from the old homeplace in Kings Mountain where his remarkable journey began.

Fred was the beloved husband of Patsy Kiser, with whom he shared 68 wonderful years filled with laughter, love, and companionship. Together, they built not just a home, but a life abundant in memories near the land that shaped his childhood.

An industrious man with an unparalleled work ethic, Fred owned and operated Kiser Belting and Machine, where he exemplified dedication, ingenuity, and craftsmanship throughout his career. He was a proud graduate of NC State from the engineering program and was proud of his time he served as a 1st Lt in the U.S. Army. Known to all for his sense of humor, Fred's ability to find lightness in any situation brightened the lives of those around him.

In his spare time, Fred found joy and peace in the great outdoors, often indulging in his passions for hunting, fishing, and golf. He was also a creator at heart, building the very home he and Patsy shared – a testament to his industrious spirit and love for hard work.

A lifelong member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Kings Mountain, Fred had a steadfast faith that guided him throughout his years.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Augustus Sellers Kiser and Myrtle Sigmon Kiser, his brother Ray Kiser, and his sisters, Louise Seay, Ruby Simmons, and Betty Griffith.

He leaves behind a loving family including his devoted wife, Patsy; his son, Mark A. Kiser; daughters, Carole Kiser and her husband Elliot Schwartz, and Kathy Kiser Valencic; granddaughter, Stephanie Devine and her husband Joshua; and grandson, Julian Schwartz.

A private graveside service will take place at St. Luke’s Lutheran Cemetery in Kings Mountain. Plans for a celebration of life gathering will be announced at a later date, inviting all who knew and loved Fred to come together in remembrance of his extraordinary life.

Fred William Kiser leaves a legacy not only of hard work and dedication but of warmth and humor. His ability to make others laugh and his unwavering determination were gifts that touched the lives of many. His memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well lived and a man well-loved.
