Eileen Mildred-Nelson
Williams
Apr 21, 1948 — Jul 16, 2026
KINGS MOUNTAIN- Eileen Mildred Nelson Williams, a remarkable woman who filled the lives of those around her with love, joy, and delicious baked goods, passed away peacefully at the age of 78, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 21, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, Eileen grew up as a beacon of strength and compassion. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alfred and Marie Nelson, and her cherished brother, Guy Michael Nelson. In her passing, she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and resilience.
Eileen was a proud member of Luther Martin Church in Hollywood, Florida, where her faith and sense of community were guiding lights. Her love for dancing, especially disco, always kept her spirit vibrant and lively. A "Boss Lady" in every sense, Eileen combined her sass with grace, never losing her lady-like charm. Her feistiness and fun-loving nature made every gathering an event to remember.
Her talents in the kitchen were unmatched; every holiday was a testament to her baking prowess, with no dessert left untried. As a self-proclaimed chocoholic, Eileen's creations often celebrated her love for chocolate, much to the delight of her family.
Eileen treasured her role as the matriarch of her family. She is survived by her son, Brian David Williams, and her daughter, Yevette Howard. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Kiresten Roderick, Kelly Marie Showalter, Wiley Parker, Steven Parker, Samantha Newton, Kaitylen Mundy, and Alexa Carruba—and her great-grandchildren—Shane Hyder, Skyler Roderick, Alyssa Lopez, Laila Parker, Silas Roderick, Emma Parker, Faith Mundy, Amaya McFadden, and Russell McFadden. To them, she was not just a matriarch but a pillar of strength and love.
Eileen's life was a tapestry woven with laughter, dance, and the comforting aroma of fresh-baked treats. Though she has departed from our midst, her spirit remains ever-present in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Details of the services to celebrate Eileen’s extraordinary life will be announced at a later date. As we remember Eileen, let us carry forward the lessons of love and joy she imparted to us all.
