Edward L. Mcgaul

SHELBY- Mr. Edward Lawrence McGaul, 79, of 312 James Love School Rd., passed on to be with The Lord Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He was affectionately known as “Larry”. Born in Huntington, Long Island, NY, he was the son to the late William Otto and Mary Ellen Wall McGaul. He was a graduate of Huntington High School and the Brooklyn Music Conservatory. He was a well known musician throughout Long Island. He played baseball and basketball, leading his team to a state championship. Mr. McGaul was a veteran of the Korean War. He attended John Knox Presbyterian Church in Shelby.

SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife Olive Gillespie McGaul of the home; two sons, Lance Oliver McGaul and Andrew Douglas McGaul; two daughters, Larissa Ellen Morton and her husband Jason, and Olivia Mary Agboola and her husband Ola; two beloved grandchildren, Lillian Agboola and Jacob Morton.

VISITATION: Saturday, March 17, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11:00 am Saturday, March 17, 2007 in the Chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
