KINGS MOUNTAIN- Edward “Red” Lovelace, 68, of 937 Brooklee Drive, passed away Thursday, July 03, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. He was born December 7, 1945 son of the late Gayvon and Myrtie Branch Lovelace. He retired as a Meat Cutter from Harris Teeter.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Rippy.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his wife Christine Thackerson Lovelace of the home; one son, Greg Clinton Lovelace of the home; two brothers, Charles R. Lovelace of Belmont, Casey Lovelace and wife Louise of Grover; one grandchild, Jay Rippy, III of Shelby; nephew, Ron Lovelace and wife Jennifer of Belmont; niece, Robin Winston and husband Aaron of Concord.

SERVICES: The funeral service will be held 3:00pm Saturday at the Chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

CLERGY: Rev. Greg Neely will officiate

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Mountain Rest Cemetery
