SHELBY-James “Ed” Lovelace Jr., died Sat., Feb. 14, 2015, at Kings Mountain Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late James Lovelace Sr. and Hester McSwain Lovelace Justus. He retired at 36 years and 10 months from PPG.

PRECEDED: In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Lovelace; sister, Docia Ann Lovelace; and step-father, Erskine Justus.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Hazel Walker Lovelace, of the home; son, Jim Lovelace; and a special son, Kelly Newsome, both of Lexington; daughter, Pamela J. Castles and husband Lamar of Greenville, NC; sisters, Madeline Queen and husband Bob, and Millie Whitaker and husband Elmer, all of Shelby; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister-in-law, Betty Lovelace of Shelby.

MEMORIAL SERVICES: 2p.m., Saturday, at Ascension Lutheran Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends following the service, at the church.
