Donald Ellis

SHELBY- Mr. Donald Ross Ellis, 52, of Le-Nick Dr., died Wed., Sept. 7, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland Co. he was the son of Harrill Ross Ellis of Hudson and Patricia Whisnant Ellis of Shelby. He was employed at UPS in Gaffney and was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. He had a love for photography and was a sponsor of children through Compassion International.


PRECEDED: He was preceded in death by two uncles; Gene Stewart and Donald Hamrick

SURVIVED: In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Ellis of Lawndale; two sisters, Jodi Parker of Shelby, Nicki Huntsinger and husband Rev. Douglas of Woodruff, SC; aunts, Beth Stewart of Shelby, Billie W. Hamrick of N. Augusta, SC, nieces and nephews; Jake and Luke Parker of Shelby, Kyle and Ericka Huntsinger of Woodruff, SC.


SERVICES: 2PM, Saturday at Sharon United Methodist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Saturday from 12-1:45pm at the church, and other times at the home of his sister, Jodi, 3009 Downing St., Shelby.

BURIAL: Private in the church cemetery
