SHELBY- Cynthia "Diane" Presson Ruppe, a loving, caring mother and grandmother, was born on November 8, 1958, in Brunswick, GA. She went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2026, at the age of 67 in Shelby, NC.
Throughout her life, Diane was a beacon of love and joy to all who knew her. Her family was her life, and she embraced her role with grace and devotion. A member of Sulphur Springs Methodist Church, Diane's faith was evident in her kind spirit and generous heart.
Diane’s interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, Levi, Luke, Mason, Marshall, Hattie, and Murphy, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Whether curled up with a good book, delighting others with her culinary skills, or setting off on a new adventure to the mountains or beyond, Diane was always eager to explore and create cherished memories. Her love for traveling was boundless; it never mattered where she was headed, as long as there was an opportunity to embark on a journey.
Diane was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles Douglas "Doug" Presson and Pauline Melton Presson, whose legacy of love and warmth she carried forward.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 49 years, Bobby Ruppe, who stood by her side through life's ups and downs. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Diane is survived by her cherished sons, Brandon Ruppe and his wife Pamela, Matthew Ruppe and his wife Kesha, and Andrew Ruppe and his wife Nicole, who will continue to honor her memory and the values she instilled in them. She also leaves her dear sister, Debbie Messer, and Debbie's husband Jerry, with whom she shared countless treasured moments.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Sulphur Springs Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Priscilla Walker and Pastor Kathy Houser. Friends and family are invited to gather one hour prior to the service at the church to share memories and offer support. Following the service, Diane will be laid to rest in the church cemetery, a fitting tribute to her life well-lived.
Diane's legacy of love and kindness will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. Her warmth and spirit will continue to inspire those she left behind, just as she inspired those she encountered throughout her life.
