Diana Oaks

SHELBY: Diana Linkous Bennett Oaks, 67, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at her home. Born in Duval County, FL, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy Carter Linkous. Diana was a faithful member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church, and she enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading her Bible and sending out devotionals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Bennett. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Virgil Oaks; daughters, Kristy Owens and husband Reid of Shelby and Dana Pressley and husband Matt of Kings Mountain; sons, Jason Bennett and Brad Oaks and wife Amber, both of Shelby, Michael Bennett Jr. and Gary Bennett and wife Kathy; sister, Tonia Davis; brother, Barry Linkous, both of Shelby; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, July 29, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Westwood Heights Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Costner and Dr. B Ervin Price officiating.
