Della Davis

GAFFNEY- Ms. Della R. Davis, 70, of 204 Rodgers Street, passed away at her residence Monday evening March 11, 2013. A native of Montgomery County, Ohio, she was born May 20, 1942, daughter of the late Raymond Dewey and Sara Messer Rice. She worked in the textile industry as a Spinner. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

PROCEEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Tim Davis; one daughter, Cindy Childers; and one brother, James Rice.

SURVIVED: She is survived by two sons, Bill Davis and wife Diane of Gaffney, Dewey Davis and wife Tina of Grover; one daughter, Kay McGaha and husband Jeff of Charleston, SC; two brothers, Raymond and Henry Rice; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 1:00 pm at Bethany Baptist Church in Grover.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday at the church and other times at the home.

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Grover Cemetery
