David Hughes

KINGS MOUNTAIN-David Preston Hughes, 73, died Sat., Nov. 15, 2014, at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Gordon William and Annette Ware Hughes. David served in the Army from 1964-66. He was a member of Dixon Presbyterian Church, an avid Clemson football fan, and had a love of fishing with his brother, Billy.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his daughter, Lori Hughes; brothers,, Billy Hughes and wife Mary and Jackie Hughes and wife Nancy, all of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Kayla Morrison of Forest City, Shianne, Jessica, Harley, and Michael Shane Walker Jr, all of Shelby, and Damien McDaniel of Kings Mountain; a very special friend, Doris McGinnis of Kings Mountain; and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Tuesday, 2p.m., at Dixon Presbyterian Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, 12-1:30pm, at the church, and other times at the home of his brother, Jackie, 115 Hughes Dr., Kings Mountain
