Danny Duncan

SHELBY- Mr. Danny Lee Duncan, 66, of 203 Southfork Dr., died Thurs., Mar. 21, 2013 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Emzy Clay and Gladys Barrett Duncan. He retired as a manager at AMVETS, and enjoyed playing baseball, softball, and golf. He was an avid Redskins fan, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Duncan; sister, Frances Duncan; and schnauzer, Crissy.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Pat Brackett Duncan, of the home; son, Todd Duncan and wife Leslie of Shelby; two sisters, Carol Rienerth and husband Tom of Onacock, VA, Jeannette Patterson and husband Jack of Shelby; brother, Jim Duncan of Shelby; two grandsons, Stetson and Drake Duncan of Shelby; mother in law, Joan Poindexter of Bessemer City; and his beloved schnauzer, Cody.

SERVICES: 3PM, Sunday, at Bethel Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Sunday, 1:30-3PM, at the church, and other times at his home.

BURIAL: Sunset Cemetery
