On Sunday, March 8, 2020, Daniel G. Peeler (aka “Danny”) loving son and brother, passed away at the age of 53.
Danny was born August 5, 1966, in Orlando, FL to Tom and Elva Peeler. He was a trained professional musician, singer, guitarist, song-writer and highly experienced master carpenter with his own carpentry business in Florida, for years.
Danny had a gift for music, humor, intellectual conversation, family and friends, and loved God. Danny had an extraordinary passion and heart to help others when they were hurting or in need. He would “give the shirt off his back” to help anyone. He was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and compassionate spirit. Danny was a passionate outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and was a steward of the environment.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Tom, his brother Tom Jr., and sister, Janice, as well as several cousins, grandparents, and beloved friends.
Danny is also survived by his siblings: Brenda Farthing, Donna Downey, Bonnie Soltis, and James Peeler, his mother Elva Peeler, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and his loving dog Dexter, all whom he loved dearly! We will miss our beloved Dan.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 3:00 PM, at the Clay-Barnette funeral home, located at 1401 W. Dixon Blvd., Shelby, NC 28152. Flowers or donations may be sent to Elva Peeler, 1644 Hedrick Street, Newton, NC 28658
