Cora Champion Marsh

SHELBY- Mrs. Cora Ann Champion Marsh, 71, of 218 T.R. Harris Drive, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jim Reubin and Sissie Blanton Champion. She retired from Kemet and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Mrs. Champion worked and was a very active participant at the Senior Center.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Champion.

SURVIVORS: She is survived by a son, Gene Marsh and wife, Liz, of Rock Hill, SC; two daughters, Lisa Falls and husband, Zeb, of Shelby and Libby Pullen and husband, Arthur, of Dallas; a sister, Sarah Champion Cochran an husband, Ray, of Shelby; seven grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Landmark Baptist Church.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Landmark Baptist Church.

CLERGY: The Revs. Allen Davis, Roger Brown and Tom Tucker will officiate.
