Claude Gray Cole

June 21, 1925 — February 4, 2015

SHELBY- Claude Gray Cole, 90, passed away Wednesday February 4, 2015 at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Lee County, NC, he was the son of the late Charlie and Martha Lee Southern Cole. He was a World War II veteran serving in the South Pacific Theater in the United States Marine Corp, 4th Marine Division from 1943 to 1946. He was a member of Community Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Morning Speaker, Organist, and Instrumentalist.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Estelle Cole and his first wife, Jean Godfrey Cole; one daughter, Peggy Lynn Cole Warren; one brother, Herman Wade Cole.

SURVIVED: He is survived by one daughter, Rochelle Reedy of Norfolk, VA, one sister-in-law, Lois Cole of Siler City, NC.; one brother-n-law, Charles Nalley and wife Jeanette of Shelby.

SERVICES: a funeral service will be held Friday 2:00 pm in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

VISITATION: the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

BURIAL: Entombment will be at Cleveland Memorial Park
