Mary Beth Schoen, daughter

"Although they began their lives at different times and in different places, Elaine Faye (Brooks) Bye and Charles Anthony Bye belonged together in life and beyond and so it is fitting that we remember them together. Charlie (1951) was born in Indiana and Elaine (1952) in Iowa. They met in high school (circa 1967) in Kentucky and were married in June of 1970. They shared more than 55 years as husband and wife before Elaine went home to the Lord on November 3, 2025. Charlie followed on September 12, 2026. Elaine enjoyed sewing, quilting, various fiber arts, and accedmics. Charlie was a photographer, a chess player, and enjoyed several domestic mission trips. They both loved music; Elaine was always singing with a beautiful clear soprano voice while Charlie grew up with Blue Grass roots and learned to play Appalachian Dulcimer in his 50's. They also shared a love of reading, nature and their church. Their greatest shared love was their children and grandchildren. Mary Beth & Scott Schoen, Rachel Bye, Tony & Kyla Bye, Marjorie & Conner Fulciniti, Ciara Raymond, Isaiah Schoen, Alex Raymond, and Lynn Viktor Bye. They are survived by these beloved as well as Elaine's sisters; Nancy Swanson, Wanda Brooks, Laurie Richardson, and Roberta Ashby, and Charlie's sisters Beck Bye, and Paula Yeast. They were preceded in death by their parents; Gale Robert Brooks, Milton Eugene Bye, Mary Ruth Bye, and Evangeline Ruth VanBreemen Hebron, as well as her brother Stephen Gale Brooks and his sister Martha Ellen Bye. A joint Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 10:30 am at Fletcher's Lake Church, 9810 Co Rd 475 W, Kewanna, IN 46939."
