SHELBY- Mrs. Bobbie Sue Page, 75, of 1550 Charles Rd., formerly of 321 Circleview Drive, Shelby, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Carillon Assisted Living. A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Rev. L.P. and Ila Mae Welchel-Wright. She was retired as a Teaching Assistant with Jefferson Elementary, as her life revolved around kids in school. She was an active member of Royster Avenue Church of God, where she served as the Children’s Church Director for years. She also enjoyed volunteering and participating in activities at the Senior Center.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Baxter Page, two brothers and four sisters.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by her son, Dr. L. Dennis Page, and wife, Judy, of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Nora Moss of Gaffney, SC, Thelma Blanton, and June Randolph, both of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Ashley Waldrop and husband, Jared, of Huntsville, Alabama and Allison Burdashaw and husband, John-Paul of Cleveland, Tenn.; and a great grandchild, Ava Elizabeth Waldrop of Huntsville, Alabama.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday, March 4, 2007 from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: The funeral will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2007 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
BURIAL: Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
