Billy Shuford

CHERRYVILLE- Mr. Billy Thomas Shuford, 63, of 111 Northshore Drive, went to be with The Lord Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. He was a native of Cleveland County, son to Ernest Shuford and the late Lillian Brooks Shuford. He was the manager of heating and air conditioning for Carolina Energies. He was a member of Polkville Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon, Teller, and enjoyed being a member of the Bob Wells Sunday School Class. He loved to fish.

SURVIVORS: He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Frances Self Shuford of the home; his father Ernest Shuford and his wife, Arlene of Shelby; two sons, Jeffery Shuford and his wife Jenny of Polkville, and Scott Shuford, of Kings Mountain, and girlfriend, Angela Gunter of Shelby; two sisters, Mabel Houser and her husband Carl of Vale, NC, and Penny Head and her husband Edward of Boiling Springs; two brothers Steve Shuford and his wife Brenda of Boiling Springs, and Rick Shuford and his wife Kim of Shelby; six grandchildren, Jessica and Josh Shuford of Gastonia, Ryan and Holden Shuford of Polkville, and Andy and Evan Gunter of Shelby; a special aunt and uncle, Ann and Howard Shuford of Shelby; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews survive.

VISITATION: Monday (3/19), from 6-8:00pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.

FAMILY HEADQUARTERS: and other times at the home of Jeff and Jenny Shuford, 3236 Bridges Dairy Road, Polkville.

FUNERAL: Tuesday (3/20), 4:00pm at Polkville Baptist Church

LIE-IN-STATE: 30 minutes prior to the service.

BURIAL: will follow in the church cemetery.

OFFICIATING CLERGY: Revs. Rick Hamrick, Alton Martin, and David Blanton.
