Billy Gene Conner

GROVER – Mr. Billy Gene Conner, 79, died Tues., May 21, 2013 at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Fred and Ollie Hawkins Conner. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Blacksburg and retired from the maintenance department of Jaws of Life.

SURVIVED: He is survived by four sons, Michael Conner of Shelby, Randy Conner and wife Terry, Tony “Fluff” Conner, all of Grover, David Conner and wife Christy of Gastonia; two daughters, Joyce Dye and husband Don of Boiling Springs, Roxanna Fortenberry and husband Johnny of Grover; four sisters, Peggy Gass, Margaret Wood and husband Robert, Nancy Ross and husband Richard, and Freida Barrett; two brothers, Bobby Conner and wife Macey, and Ronnie Conner and wife Connie, all of Kings Mountain; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and former wife and friend, Shirley Conner of Gastonia

GRAVESIDE SERVICES: Thursday, 2PM, at Mountain Rest Cemetery

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Thursday, 12:30-1:30PM, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.
