SHELBY- Betty Joanne Hord Smith Wilson, 83, died Monday, July 1, 2018, at Hospice of Carolina Foothills. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late James R. and Jessie Hord. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Smith; grandson, Joshua Smith; and brother, Tommy Hord
SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, Tony Smith of Shelby, and Tim Smith and wife Cindy of Grover; sisters, Jewel Peppers, Brenda Mauney, and Phyllis Gillespie and husband Ron, all of Shelby; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Betty Walker
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Bethel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church.
OFFICIATING: Dr. Tim Sims
BURIAL: Will follow in Sunset Cemetery
FUNERAL HOME: Arrangements are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral, Cremation & Pet Aquamation Center
