SHELBY- Betty J. Brown, 72, passed away Wednesday January 6, 2016 at her residence. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Freno Sr. and Arlene Jones Jackson. She was a member of Dover Baptist Church. She was a spunky and vibrant lady who never met a stranger and who talked to everyone. She will be missed by all who knew her including her friends at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.


SURVIVED: she is survived by her husband, Claude “C.L.” Lindsey Brown, Jr.. of the home; two daughters, LaDonna Dedmond and husband Don of Lawndale, Sharon Brown Hendrick of Shelby; one sister, Carol J. McKibben of Shelby; one brother, Arnold Jackson, Jr. and wife Betty of Shelby; four grandchildren, Kasey Robinson, Leighann Crawford, Brett Hendrick and Chase Hendrick; two step grandchildren; three great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren; and last but no least her four legged fur baby, Dixie whom she adored.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Dover Baptist Church
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at her home.

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park
MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to Dover Baptist Church, 1501 Polkville Road, Shelby, NC 28150
