SHELBY- Mrs. Bentha Mozelle Hoyle McIntyre, 93, died Monday, September 17, 2007 at White Oak Manor. She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter to the late Joseph P. and Susan Bumgardner Hoyle. She was a charter member of Mull’s Memorial Baptist Church, a past president of their WMU, taught Sunday School, and sung in the choir. Her love for singing led here to sing at many churches and schools in the area. She was a caregiver to her parents and others in her family as well as many of her friends. She also loved to bake and read.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Daniel Woodrow McIntyre; three brothers, L. Venner Hoyle, William Edgar Hoyle, and Walter Hoyle; two other infant brothers; and two sisters, Flossie Turner and Elizabeth Wallace Carroll.
SURVIVORS: two sons, Joe D. McIntyre and his wife Betsy of Banning, California, and James McIntyre and his wife Patricia of Boiling Springs; a daughter, Sandy Jenkins of Shelby; grandchildren, Jodie and Shawn Fisher of Woodland, California, Jason and Mary McIntyre of Davis California, Marc and Shannon McIntyre of Wilson, NC, Mike and Jody McIntyre of Pacifica, California, Jon McIntyre of Wilson, California, and David Jenkins of Charlotte; twelve great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 12:00 Noon to 1:00pm, Wednesday (9/19) at Mull’s Memorial Baptist Church, and at other times at the home of Sandy Jenkins, 2115 Fernwood Drive, Shelby.
FUNERAL: 1:00pm Wednesday (9/19) at Mull’s Memorial Baptist Church.
LIE-IN-STATE: 1 hour prior to the service (during the visitation).
BURIAL: will follow in the church cemetery.
