Barbara Hopper

SHELBY - Barbara Hopper, 75, of South Post Road, went to her heavenly home, Monday, March 31, 2014, at her residence. A native of Harland County, Ky., she was born Jan. 2, 1939, daughter of the late Orville and Bonnie Myers.

She is a member of New Life Outreach, past member of Shelby Rescue Squad and a retired nurse. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, Nana, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Grady Hopper; and one brother, Cecil Morris.

She is survived by one son, Tim Hopper and wife Stephanie of Kings Mountain; one daughter, Charlotte Ellis and husband Dale of Grover; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to7:30 p.m. Thursday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.
