Arlene Shuford

SHELBY-Arlene Jones Jackson Shuford, 98, of W. Warren St., died Tues., Sept. 23, 2014, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Dillon, SC, she was the daughter of the late John and Lula McDonald Jones. She was a member of Dover Baptist Church, and had a love for reading, sewing, and watching T.V.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Jackson Sr.; second husband, Ernest Shuford; brothers, J.D. and Wilbur Jones; sister, Ruby Lee Walden; step-son, Billy Shuford.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Arnold Jackson Jr. and wife Betty; daughters, Carol Ann Jackson McKibbon, and Betty Brown and husband C.L., all of Shelby; step-children, Mabel Houser and husband Carl of Lincolnton, Steve Shuford and wife Brenda, Penny Head and husband Edward, Rick Shuford and wife Kim, all of Shelby; step-daughter-in-law, Frances Shuford of Shelby; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: Thursday, 3p.m., at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park
