SHELBY-Ann Turner Johnson, 66, died Sat., Dec. 17, 2016, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter to Pauline Sanders Turner, of Shelby, and the late D.L. Turner. She was a member of New Bethel Church of Shelby, where she loved to sing, and was active in the Jolly Elders.

PRECEDED: In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Johnson.

SURVIVED: In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughters, Dawn Newland, and Jessica Searcy and husband Michael, all of Shelby; sisters, Donnis Walker and husband Steve of Shelby, and Gail Finney and husband Billy of Hollis; brother, David Turner and wife Carolyn of Earl; grandchildren, Kevin Newland, Taylor Ledbetter and wife Heather, Rachel Newland, Laura Harrison, Jason Ledbetter, Devon Harrison, Amber Searcy, Jordan Searcy, and Garrett Newland; and great-grandchildren, Alydia Newland and Riley Cathcart.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Tuesday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

OFFICIATING: Rev. Mark Patchett will officiate

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park

MEMORIALS: Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150
