SHELBY-Angela Annette Williams, affectionately known to many as Annette, graced this world with her presence on September 8, 1965, in Cleveland County. She departed this life on July 5, 2026, at the age of 60, in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

Annette was a devoted member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where she found strength and community until her health no longer permitted her active attendance. Her faith was a guiding light in her life and an inspiration to all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her beloved father, Kelly Lanier; her brother, Christopher Lanier; her brother-in-law, Gregory Russell; and her cherished grandparents, Annette now joins them in eternal peace.

She is survived by her loving husband, Keith Williams; her son, Montray Williams; and her daughter, Larhea Williams, who will carry on her legacy of love and resilience. Her nurturing spirit lives on in her mother, Barbara Lanier; her sisters, LaVonne Russell, Cherie Lanier, and Sandra Lanier; and her brother, Kelly Lanier. Annette adored her grandchildren, Kynslie Bell, Tyquese Bell, and Zymir Sutton, who brought her endless joy. Her special cousin, Rose Degree, alongside a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, will forever cherish her memory.

Annette was the epitome of the best big sister—funny, protective, and always ready to keep everyone in line. She had a knack for giving great advice and was known to be the calm in the family storm. With her penchant for neatness, she ensured that everything was always in its rightful place, a reflection of the order and harmony she brought into her family’s lives.

A celebration of Annette's life will be held at 3:00PM on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Frankie Smith. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service to share stories and memories of this remarkable woman whose love, laughter, and guidance will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

In honoring Annette, we remember her as the loving protector, the steadfast anchor, and the heart of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will endure for generations.
