SHELBY- Mr. Malry Alfred Spangler, III, 69, of Shelby, passed away, Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, NC, he was born on October 15, 1943, son of the late
M. A., Jr. and Ethel Odom Spangler. He was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church, Shelby where he served as an usher for many years, he was a dedicated employee for Palmer Mortuary for many years. Al was a friend to everyone he met and will be remembered and missed for his gentle spirit and caring heart.

SURVIVED: He is survived by one brother; Don O. Spangler of Shelby, one nephew; Chad Spangler and wife Carmen of Charlotte, one great niece; Parker Spangler, and one great nephew; Will Spangler.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Webb Chapel.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church.

CLERGY: Rev. Tony Tench

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery.
