SHELBY- Mr. David Lee Roark, 59, of 715 S. Dekalb St., Shelby, died Monday, February 19, 2007 at White Oak Manor of Shelby. A native of Washington County, Tenn., he was a son of the late Hubert and Quilla Story Roark. He was employed as a truck driver with Golden Transportation and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Spencer Roark and his sisters Pauline Tipton, Evelyn Teryee and Catherine Roark.
SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife, Betty Buckles Roark of the home; two sons, Charles Roark and fiancée, Kerry Johnson, of Shelby and Michael Roark and wife, Heather, of W. Berlin, NJ; a daughter, Michelle Dalton of Hickory; four brothers, Sam, Dennis, Kenny, and Roy Roark, all of Johnson City, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Shelby.
