LAWNDALE: Marjorie Cleo McKnight, 81, died Sunday April 7, 2024 at Wendover Hospice. She was the daughter of the late James William Pruitt and Vergie Lane. Marjorie loved to help people and thrift shop. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sheena Bright; and sisters, Connie Adair and Brenda Terry. She is survived by her son, Terry Bright and wife Elizbeth of Shelby; sister, Vicky Scism of Fallston; brothers, Jimmy Pruitt and wife Joyce of Cherryville, Gary Pruitt and wife Regina of Polkville, Allen Lane of Shelby, Ricky Pruitt and wife Angie of Fallston, and Scott Pruitt and wife Kathy of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Brandon Bright, Wesley Champion, Timmy Champion, Josh Champion, and Farrah Billings; and beloved great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Friday April 12, 2024 at Clay-Barnette with Pastor Tracy Winborne officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery.
