SHELBY- Mr. Ben Lee McSwain, 100, of Carillon Assisted Living, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Joe and Sally Cantrell McSwain. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Gladys Colquitt McSwain and a son Bobby Joe McSwain.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his son Ben D. and wife Lavon Kiser McSwain of N. Myrtle Beach, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and daughter in law Lois T. McSwain of Greensboro.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Monday, July 12, from 1-2, at Second Baptist Church.
SERVICES: Services will be held, Monday, 2pm, at Second Baptist Church.
BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, 1114 S. Lafayette St., Shelby 28152
CLERGY: Dr. Reginald Dawkins will be officiating.
