SHELBY- Mr. William Donald Canipe, 74, of 2456 Nixon Dr., died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Missions Hospital in Asheville. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late William Woodrow and Rosella Gantt Canipe. He was a former employee of PPG and a member of Clearview Baptist Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Kay Canipe; son Danny Canipe; and two brothers Jimmy and Gary Canipe.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his three sons, Jerry Canipe and wife Rhonda of Kings Mountain, Terry Canipe of Shelby, and Randy Canipe and wife Kim of Mooresboro; two daughters Pam Goodman of Forest City and Donna Kay Wright of Fallston; sister Jo Lankford of Shelby; two brothers Gaylon Canipe and wife Mary Ann of Grover and Robert Canipe of Shelby; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Friday, May 21, 2010 from 6-7:30 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
SERVICES: Services will be held, 11am, Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Clearview Baptist Church. The body will lie in state 30 min. prior to the service.
BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
CLERGY: Rev. Barry Miles will be officiating.
FUNERAL HOME: Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.
