Obituary:
SHELBY- Mr. Travis Eugene Ledbetter, 82, of 1806 Gaffney Road, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Maxine Pearson Ledbetter. Mr. Ledbetter served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Travis Ledbetter Grading. PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Everett Ledbetter and sister, Nellie Weaver. SURVIVED: He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Meldora Greene Ledbetter of the home; three sons, Michael Eugene Ledbetter of Davidson, Stewart Neal Ledbetter and wife Wanda of McAdenville, and Clark Wayne Ledbetter and wife Tammy of Shelby; one sister Brenda Kay Bettis and husband Austel III; three brothers Ray Ledbetter and wife Geneava, Bobby Ledbetter and wife Betty, and Marvin Sherrill Ledbetter, all of Shelby, and nine grandchildren. VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour before the service, Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Flint Hill Baptist Church. SERVICES: Services will be held, Saturday, May 1, 2010, 3pm at Flint Hill Baptist Church. BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park. MEMORIALS: Memorials may be made to Flint Hill Baptist Church, 2207 Flint Hill Church Road, Shelby, NC 28152 CLERGY: Rev. Keith Dixon will be officiating.
