KINGS MOUNTAIN- Mrs. Mary Belle Humphries Cornwell, 92, of 116 Longbranch Rd., died Friday, Mar. 12th, 2010 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Catherine Peters Humphries. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Frank W. Cornwell; four brothers Cecil, Lyman, Haskell, and Clyde Humphries; two sisters Helen McDaniel and Laura Lee Kennedy. SURVIVED: She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands; Tamara and Walter Campbell of Charlotte, Lynn and Jim Godfrey of Charleston, SC, and Cathy and Ronnie Cheek of Kings Mountain; one sister, Sarah McMurry of Shelby; five grandchildren, Tonya Humphries Butts and husband Ken of Concord, Christopher Wise Campbell and wife Alicia of North Borough, MA, Andrew Cornwell Paugh of Denver, Co., Mary Elizabeth Paugh of Charleston, SC, Elizabeth Anne Bridges and husband Brandon of Scotland Neck, NC; 9 great-grandchildren.
