KINGS MOUNTAIN- Mr. Charles Howard Cartee, 83, formerly of 330 West College Ave., died Monday, January 18, 2010 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Earl and Lillie Chapman Cartee. Mr. Cartee Served in the Army for two years and was a member of Zoar Baptist Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother in law Charles G. Clary.
SURVIVED: He is survived by his sister Avis Cartee Clary of Shelby; a nephew David G. Clary and wife Patti of Camden, SC; a niece Leanne C. Clary of Shelby; one great Nephew Wesley E. Clary and wife Emily; one great niece Stephanie H. Ashe and husband Tyler; three great-great Nieces, Abby, Macey, and Lily Clary; and one great-great nephew, Garrison Ashe.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Wednesday, January 20, 2010, from 6-7pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home.
SERVICE: Services will be held, Wednesday, January 20, 2010, 7pm, in Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel.
