Obituary:
SHELBY- Mrs. Pauline Guffey Murphy, 78, formerly of North Lafayette Street, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Hospice House of Burlington. A native of Cleveland Co., she was a daughter of the late Raleigh and Pearl Mauney Guffey. Mrs. Murphy was the former assistant vise president at First Federal Bank in Shelby, and a member of Zoar Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: She is survived by her loving husband, Pat Murphy of Chapel Hill; daughter Patti Reinheimer and husband Bob of Chapel Hill; a brother Bobby Guffey and wife Freida of Shelby; and grandson Matt Reinheimer. VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 11-12:30 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home on Thursday, March 26, 2009. SERVICE: A graveside service will be held 1pm, Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Sunset Cemetery. CLERGY: Tim Ware will be officiating.
