Obituary:
SHELBY- Mrs. Rilene Browning Holtzclaw, 79, departed this life Sat., March 14, 2009, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. A native of Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Riley and Gaynell Gilreath Browning. Rilene had a passion for gardening and was a strong advocate for Animal Rights. She retired from Artee Industries. PRECEDED IN DEATH: In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her sister, Barbara B. Smith. SURVIVORS: She is survived by her two loving sons; James E. Cox and his wife Martha of Shelby, and Charlie K. Holtzclaw and his wife Donna of Lawndale; a special friend, Janet Sims of Shelby; and her beloved canine companion, Boo. SERVICE: Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 17th at 2:30pm in Sunset Cemetery. VISITATION: The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 17th from 12:30-2:00pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. CLERGY: Rev. Mike Wood will be officiating
