Every person must cope with the loss of a loved one on his or her own terms. The emotional upheaval these trying times can cause is sometimes so overwhelming that even the support of friends and family may not help relieve the amount of sadness and grief you feel.

At Clay-Barnette Funeral Home we provide information for the following aftercare grief sessions:

Transitions - Clay Barnette monthly grief newsletter

At the center of our 13-month aftercare program is our new monthly Careletter, Transitions .  Each issue is filled with articles written by grief and recovery professionals.  In addition to the articles are poems, tips and Questions/Answers covering a myriad of topics, including these:

*How to talk to children

*How to deal with anger, disbelief and "if-only-I-hads"

*How to cope with holidays, anniversaries and other special occasions

*How to mange physical changes such as fatigue, forgetfulness and sleeplessness

The program is 13 months long because we wanted to extend our care beyond that first difficult anniversary, and is made up of two Special Issues and 12 monthly issues.
